Amiga X-Sector
A downloadable game
The disk is damaged. Can you recover it? X-Sector is a new puzzle game for the Amiga.
Did you spend your childhood watching X-Copy's little squares fill up while disks copied? X-Sector brings that oddly comforting Amiga ritual back, only this time as a game.
Read sectors, follow the clues, mark the corrupt ones, and recover every safe sector without hitting a bad one. Four disks offer increasing difficulty and familiar, easy-to-learn gameplay. Each new disk has a fresh pattern of corruption, so there's always another puzzle to solve.
X-Sector captures the nostalgic look and feel of an Amiga disk-copying utility, right down to the authentic sound effects, but with all the fun of an endlessly replayable puzzle game.
How to play
Choose a disk from DF0 to DF3. The higher the difficulty, the more bad sectors you'll need to avoid.
Left-click a sector to read it. A number tells you how many surrounding sectors are corrupt. Use those clues to work out where the bad sectors are, then right-click to mark them.
Read every safe sector to recover the disk. Read a bad one and the recovery fails.
Made on an Amiga, for the Amiga
X-Sector was created in AMOS Professional for the Commodore Amiga. It isn't an Amiga-inspired PC game - it's a real Amiga game designed for original hardware.
For the best experience, play on a real Amiga. X-Sector is compatible with all Amigas and requires at least 1 MB of RAM.
